Les Ottomans, Istanbul
Live the Ottoman life
A superior boutique hotel located right on the banks of the Bosphorus, Hotel Les Ottomans was created for guests who want to enjoy the very best of Istanbul with a tried and true version of Turkish hospitality. Les Ottmans’ heritage is one that includes the most luxurious accommodations possible, the most attentive service, the newest technologies and the finest cuisine, all offered in an atmosphere of calm, splendour and intimacy.
It all starts with the building itself, an 18th-century waterfront yali – a mansion that once belonged to the Ottoman general Muhsinzade Mehmet Pasha. This fabulous palace had fallen into neglect when Les Ottomans rounded up a team of three world-renowned architechts and told them to make the restoration perfect. It took seven years to make sure every little detail had been attended to, and now the former glory of this building is now restored. Lush fabrics, antiques that evoke the long history here and crystal chandeliers are just some of its hallmarks.
Les Ottomans features ten unique suites each with individual character and an opulence that suits the building that houses them. Rooms here are a throwback to when luxury meant flourishes and curves and warm curves – wood furniture with mother-of-pearl inlay, antique divans, or timeless handmade carpets. Some judiciously sprinkled modern touches complete this oasis, such as flat-screen televisions and modern and adjustable bedside reading lights.
Amenities here include a fine dining restaurant offering international and Ottoman delicacies such as Circassian Chicken, caviar and Thai shrimp soup. The 2,400-square-meter spa offers innovative health options such as vinotherapy and pilates, as well as the traditional pamperings expected from an elite luxury hotel. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, butler service, and VIP transportation services with the hotel’s luxury yacht round out the highlights at this splendid boutique hotel.
