Kuum Hotel & Spa, Bodrum
State of the art design on the Aegean
One of the newest offerings in Turkey’s luxury hotel bracket, Kuum Hotel and Spa Bodrum is a uniquely striking design. Architects from New York and Istanbul based Global Architecture Development took their cues from the surrounding land and seascapes, added in a dash of historial legacy from its environs in the Aegean, and came up with a terraced resort of sweeping curves, gentle colours and modern textures.
The hotel’s 66 rooms are in arching, low rise buildings designed to nestle into the seaside hill in Bodrum’s Turkbuku district, and to maximize water views each room has a unique water view. The spacious rooms offer a soothing environment of soft colours and bright wood, with splashes of bright reds or yellows for accent. Plasma TV and a host of other modern amenities ensure comfort and luxury. Adding to this unique environment, the 33,000 square metre resort is studded with 37 elite vacation villas of between 145 and 300 square metres. Each are uniquely designed, with features such as domes, pointy corners and wal to wall windowning adding to Kuum’s visual feast.
The 2,200 square metre Aequalis Spa is operated by MSPA, the international brand synonymous with the best of current wellness offerings. Massage therapists are expert in a wide range of methods including taichi massage. Offerings also includ a hamam, steam room, hydrotherapy and more, making it easy to unwind and rejuvenate.
Once you’ve descended the terraces hillside to the bayside waterfront, you’ll find an elegantly displayed array of offerings. Lay back on a beach chair overlooking the Aegean, pull up to the crisp, white bar, or tuck in to a masterfully prepared meal on the terrace restaurant under the protective umbrella of rustling cypress trees.
