Perhaps the world’s most luxurious caves

Nestled in one of the world’s truly unique landscapes, Anatolian Houses Hotel is a blend of Turkish tradition and world-class luxury in the heart of Cappadocia, where the time-honored tradition of living in cave houses has taken on a modern bent. This boutique hotel is situated close to the open-air museums and underground cities that make Cappadocia one of the world’s choice tourist destinations.

As the name suggests, Anatolian Houses was once a cluster of charming little village homes with carved window frames bracketed by the towering “fairy chimneys’’ of soft tufa rock that made the town of Goreme famous worldwide. A rock-cut stable held the horses, and pigeons would perch high up on the tear-drop shaped rock. Today’s Anatolian Houses Hotel is a white stone building blending seamlessly into a network of five cave formations. Visitors will be greeted in the courtyard by a fountain spurting wine.

Anatolian houses features all unique suites and two deluxe rooms. Each are specially designed in harmony with their individual cave-and-stone settings and feature themes and décor from different eras in this region’s long and fascinating history, including furniture and trimmings. Antique Turkish carpets adorn the heated floors, wide stone arches or pillars frame the bed chambers, and Jacuzzi tubs bubble and swirl in the bathrooms.

Anatolian Houses’ offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools; a Turkish bath, or hammam, for traditional pampering, and a modern spa and wellness center for the comforting treatments discerning travellers have come to expect. The hotel’s restaurant features the finest of both Turkish cuisine and international favorites.
